New Sunday School Class Forming
Starting August 13!
From the first Sunday of August through the end of September Tamera and Nathan Perry will
be leading an important Sunday School study addressing how to respond to homosexuality and
related issues in our culture from a biblical worldview. The class follows the book and videos
entitled “Messy Grace.” One book will be provided per registered family. Please
consider being a part of this study. The class will be limited to 16 individuals, however the class
will be repeated as necessary. A registration list will be started July 16th.
Here’s a description from the book: “Very few issues in Christianity are as divisive as the
acceptance of the LGBT community in the church. Many Christians lean toward one of two
extremes: sacrificing truth for the sake of grace or sacrificing grace for the sake of truth.
Jesus was able to love all people and yet still hold onto his beliefs. So can you.
Even when it’s messy.”
Attention Middle and High Youth and Their Parents!
Beginning May 7th all youth (6th through 12th grades) are invited to join a new Bible study during Sunday School after worship! We’ll be working through the Answers Bible Curriculum from Answers in Genesis who are the folks behind The Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter. The curriculum takes us through the entire Bible and will provide a thorough understanding of the relevance of scripture, will teach us how to defend our faith and how to apply God’s Word to everyday life. The group will meet in the Sunday School room at the top of the stairs above the church office. Please see Erin Truelsen with questions or email at email@example.com. Come with an eagerness to learn
and share! Bring your Bible!
