*05/26/2020 – Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
According to current information regarding the phased reopening of services in Indiana, we will be allowed to reopen the church for services.
So as to allow for better social distancing, churches have been encouraged to add extra services so that crowds will be smaller and people will not be packed together.
This is the information that pertains to you as a member of Christ Lutheran:
1. Those of you who are 65 and older have been encouraged to remain sheltering in place until May 24th. That group is the most vulnerable to COVID-19, and therefore this is for your protection. Please return and join us in worship after that date.
Please join us in online worship. We also encourage others who feel more comfortable waiting to return to join us in online worship as well.
2. For the next few weeks we will be holding two services, an 8 AM and a 10:30 service to allow people to have plenty of space in church. If you are an early riser, please come to our 8 AM service.
3. Sunday school will start at 9:15 AM. (Please wear a cloth mask for that as well.). The children’s class will be held on the main floor in the back classroom in the preschool area. Adults will meet in the main area. There will be no coffee/ refreshments for the time being.
4. Please wear a mask to cover your mouth and nose at the service. This has been encouraged by the Indiana guidelines for the phased reopening.
In worship, those in the same family may sit together. Those of separate family units should sit at least six feet away from each other.
5. We will be wiping surfaces down between services.
6. If you have been experiencing any illness, we encourage you to stay at home.
7. If you receive a phone call from your deacon this week-please indicate whether you are going to be at the 8:00 or 10:30 service so we can get a gauge on numbers. Thanks for your assistance in this.
8. For those who wish to commune, I will explain communion details on Sunday.
We are trying to follow the guidelines set out for us; if there is anything being overlooked here, please let me know.
We look forward to seeing all of you return soon.
Please call me if I can help in any way, or if you would like me to pray with you.
Easter blessings to you all.
For the Week of May 24, 2020
