Rev Chris Truelsen
Rev. Chris Truelsen has been serving at Christ Lutheran since November 2015. Pastor Truelsen grew up in Iowa and West Lafayette, Indiana, and went to Purdue where he studied history, then went to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He has been in the parish since 2001, and began his ministry at St. John’s Lutheran in Lanesville, IN where he served until 2015.
Pastor Truelsen wants to see that the people of his congregation are well familiar with their Christian faith and with Lutheran teaching in particular, the historic teachings of the Small Catechism. He preaches a message each Sunday that features Law and Gospel insights where he communicates the clear teaching of Scripture that we are saved by grace, through faith, in Christ alone.
His goal is to share the love, grace, and mercy of Christ that he knows, that the people he works with will grow in it and come to be comfortable with sharing it themselves. He also teaches young and older people alike how to defend their Christian faith in a world that has become increasingly hostile to Christian teaching.
We at Christ Lutheran believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We trust and believe in Jesus Christ, because Christ is real, and we know that He desires to have a relationship with us, and bring us to himself in eternity. There is no other god in this world that can do what Christ has done; all the rest are counterfeits. Jesus Christ is the only way, truth and life for our salvation!
Please come and join us at Christ Lutheran as we all change lives by sharing Christ together!
